FIRPO’S BALLOON COCKTAIL – THE CALCUTTA CLASSIC
· Apparently “Firpo” was the name of a bar in Calcutta
· “Named because the 5th one consumed is guaranteed to set us bobbing about up under the ceiling…”
o And then they make some disparaging remarks about President Hoover for some reason – and I’m not making that up
o 1 oz. (30 ml.) good rye whiskey (Bullet)
o 1 oz. (30 ml.) dry vermouth
o 1 oz. (30 ml.) absinthe
o 2 dashes orange bitters
o 2 tsp egg white
o Dry shake (without ice) all ingredients for 10-15 seconds. (This helps the egg emulsify and become foamier). Add ice and shake well. Strain into a big saucer type champagne glass
· “This is another one to watch cannily, lest our pedal extremities fold up at some totally inappropriate moment.”
NOTES: After making this one it became apparent that the absinthe really blew out the other flavors; I recommend reducing it to 1/2 oz. (15 ml.) or even just a dash.

Many modes (like the famous tank mode, invisible tank mode, jet mode...etc.) and fun 2-player. The only downside is that it is ONLY a 2-player game; you can’t play without a friend. Which is a problem for many of us.
Linnea Quigley is the best.
