We have a cocktail brought to you from frequent BUY US A DRINK contributor and the commissioner of this Joepisode, Bryan Jones. This episode will air on Super Bowl LVIII (58) and our cocktail today is inspired by one of Bryan’s favorite football players, Ted Ginn Jr, who played for Bryan’s home state of Ohio in college, in addition to 14 seasons in the NFL, for the Dolphins, 49ers, Panthers, Cardinals, Saints, and Da Bears. I don’t know nor am I interested in anything football related, but Bryan sent links to a couple of videos and this Ginn fella seems pretty righteous. I’ll add those to the webpage for this episode.

The cocktail for today is a Bryan Jones invention as per usual:

GINN AND JUICE

·         2 oz. (60 ml) gin

·         12 oz. (355 ml) 7-Up

o   Because that was Ginn’s college number

·         6 oz. (177 ml) lemon lime Gatorade

o   Because he’s an athlete

·         Build in glass over ice, mix and stir

Now, you may have noticed that this is a very light cocktail. It clocks in at about 3.8% ABV and a staggering 20 oz. You would not be remiss here adding more gin if you like. Or reducing the amount of mixers by a factor of 4. But that wasn’t Bryan’s assignment! I kept the ratios the same but cut the amounts in half for us because I don’t have glasses large enough to hold that much liquid.

Bryan said, the drink is a silly name, but tasty, and thanks, till all are one! So thank you, Bryan, both for the Ted Ginn Jr cocktail, and for commissioning this Joepisode!

Look at this goofy dickhead. Whatever, “Arnold…”
