**·         This is a modified Negroni, with bourbon standing in for gin**
**·         I prefer this to the Negroni, actually, and that comes from a perennial gin-lover**
**o   1 oz. (30 ml) Sweet vermouth**
**o   1 oz. (30 ml) Campari**
**o   1.5 oz. (45 ml) bourbon**
**o   Shake and strain over fresh cracked ice**
§ Some people prefer this drink up, I don’t; I like it on cracked ice because I like the evolution of the cocktail as the ice melts, and it stays colder longer, which I think really accentuates both the sweet and very bitter aspects of the drink
**§ The Campari is really the star here**
