I tried to find a drink from this book that originated in Bali, but the closest I could find after an hour of flipping through the book was one from the northern Philippines, which, granted the distance between the two is 1700 miles. I’m sure there’s a Singapore Sling in here, but the fucked up 1930s way the index is laid out makes it impossible to quickly reference anything
THE INSECTICON BAGUIO (bog-yo) SKIN (pg. 14)
In a well-stemmed wine glass put:
· 1 tsp sugar dissolved in a trifle of water
· 1 dash orange bitters
· On top of this place 2 thin slices of lime
· 3 large ice cubes
· Then 1 shot of Bacardi (gold)
Stir with a bar spoon and serve as-is with a final dusting of grated nutmeg on top
